First thing everybody knows that can help increase the value is paint. Nothing beats a good coat of paint on your home. It brings something… It just brings life to your home. If you’re going to paint your home, please do it professionally. You don’t want to have your nephew… the seven year old nephew painting the house and then it’s sloppy. No! Get somebody professionally to do it properly, and trust me it will help a lot with the look of your home.
Landscaping
Secondly, you can go ahead and do some nice landscaping, change it up a bit. Spend a few dollars, and hire a landscaping company. Let them create the borders and bring in some nice trees, some nice flowers that can bring life to your home. This helps a lot with increasing the value of your home.
Update the Bathroom
Thirdly, what you can do is update your bathroom. You can simply do this by changing the lighting, add new fixtures, add some recessed lights. Trust me, these simple things go a long way with increasing the value of your home. You can also change the vanity, and the wall tiles, or the floor tiles.
Update the Kitchen
The kitchen is one place that gets utilized the most and persons see the most is the kitchen. Nothing is more beautiful than having a beautiful kitchen. Some things you can do is update appliances to stainless steel items in your home. Also with the lighting, you can change to recessed lights, you can add new fixtures. But you want to add appliances and fixtures. An updated kitchen, helps a lot with adding value to your home.
Get rid of Popcorn Ceilings
Popcorn ceilings. I don’t know if people know about the popcorn ceilings, but I have to confess I have some popcorn ceilings in my own home and I’m trying to get rid of them. I have to. Popcorn ceiling is the little sticky things thats on your ceiling. Homeowners back in the days loved their popcorn ceiling, I don’t know who created that idea. But get rid of popcorn ceilings and give your home that modern look. Give it that smooth look. Whereas, it creates that value… It brings value to your home. Please get rid of Popcorn ceilings.
Replace old Carpets and Rugs
Replace carpets and rugs. Old worn out carpets are visually distasteful and it can cause allergies. If you’re selling your home and there is showings peopel will notice this and you don’t want to have persons walking through your home and they notice the rug doesn’t look right. What’s going to happen is persons will feel as if there’s something they will have to compensate for. So, change some rugs, change some carpets, and make it look more tasteful and make it look more nice.

Get rid of the clutter and organize. If you have to hire somebody to organize for you, please do. Especially if you’re thinking about selling your home and you’re going to have showings, you have to get rid of the clutter. When a person walks inside your home, you want them to visualize themselves in your home. If you have the clutter, they’re going to notice the clutter, and they’re not going to see themselves in there. You want to make sure that you organize, get rid of clutter as best as possible and let persons feel as if they are home already.
